I have 17 years of clinical experience and am currently an Assistant Professor of Psychology in the Department of Counseling at Marymount University. I am also a guest faculty member in the Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy Program at the Washington School of Psychiatry.
I enjoy conducting seminars and have been an active presenter at regional, national, and international conferences. Some topics of interest I have presented on have included attachment theory, clinical supervision, motivational interviewing, ISTDP, and sandtray therapy.
In addition, I have published scholarly articles and book chapters on clinical supervision, play therapy, and counseling skills, and I recently completed a book chapters on the use of emotions in clinical supervision. My current research interests include psychotherapy outcomes, attachment theory, emotional intelligence, and neurophysiology. I completed the certificate program in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy at the Washington School of Psychiatry.
For fun I like writing and playing music, hiking, cooking, and photography.
